The Law Of Compensation

Jerry DRhino Clark

Recently, my good friends Tom "Big Al" Schreiter and his lovely wife Susan were visiting my wife and I at our house so we could talk and catch up on old times. Since Susan and my wife both have a "Black Belt in Shopping," they decided to utilize their skills in that area while Tom and I stayed at the house and talked. During our conversation, I suddenly realized why Tom was able to build an organization in excess of 100,000 people and generate millions of dollars in annual income. He effectively worked the principle known as "The Law of Compensation." There are three sub-laws embodied within "The Law of Compensation." Let's review them now:

  1. The Law of Sowing and Reaping

Nature's basic law states that whatever you reap will be dependent upon what you sow. In other words, what you get out is based on what you put in. This is also known as "The Law of the Boomerang," which means that whatever you send out will come back to you. You may have also heard of it as "Cause and Effect," "Action and Reaction," etc. The bottom line is if you desire to get tomatoes, then you must plant tomato seeds. You can't plant corn and expect to get tomatoes. The same holds true for the results you desire in your life. You can't plant negativity, misery, and poverty and expect to get back positivity, happiness, and prosperity. It will only leave you frustrated and agitated.

  1. The Law of Increasing Returns

This second sub-law of "The Law of Compensation" says that not only do you reap what you sow, but you also reap more than you sowed. There's an interesting truth about farming: when you plant grain, you end up reaping much more grain than you originally sowed or planted. Network marketing works with a similar truth. If you consistently perform the actions (daily disciplines which are similar to sowing seeds), then you will eventually reap a harvest that is much greater than the individual parts of what you sowed. This is also known as "The Law of Compounding" or "The Law of the Avalanche." Trying to deny this law only confirms it, so get over it and get with it. Use it for your benefit, not your detriment, because one way or another it will be used.

  1. The Law of Delayed Gratification.

This is also known as "The Law of the Harvest." It says that not only will you reap what you sow and reap more than you sow, but you will also reap more than you sow later than if you reaped it now. (Wow! What a tongue twister). Unfortunately, this law is what keeps people from attaining massive financial or any other type of success. Since we're living in a microwave society, most people are looking for drive-through type of instantaneous results. They don't give Law #2 (Increasing Returns / Compounding) time to do its thing, so they end up hindering the process while the process is processing. (Don't you just love these tongue twisters?) The one thing to remember about this law is that the harvest comes in a different season than when you planted. However, when it comes, it comes in much more abundance than you initially anticipated. As Napoleon Hill once said, "When riches come, it comes in such abundance that you wonder where it was hiding all of those years."

If you're able to understand and effectively use these principles then you will one day be able to appreciate this tip. For that to happen, you must learn to work within accordance to the laws Mother Nature has set up. What if you don't like the way Mother Nature has set things up? That's too bad, because Mother Nature is not taking any votes from anyone on this issue. When you get your own planet to build, then you can set the rules up the way you like. In the meantime, don't fight it; instead, invite "The Law of Compensation" in as a natural part of your life and watch what happens.
