An Interview with Jerry "DRhino" Clark... Part 2

Jerry Clark

5. What goals have you achieved in your Network Marketing career?

Well, of course there are the material and financial things that we all seek when getting started in Network Marketing. During my career, I have purchased a full range of luxury automobiles (Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, etc.). I purchased my first million-dollar house while still in my 20s. My goal of owning my own recording studio and paying cash for everything in it has been realized. I travel around the world each year to exciting and exotic places -- places that I couldn't even pronounce when I was a kid.

It's always great to be able to help your mother and other family members financially. And I can go on and on with all of the material and financial stuff, but I think the non-material stuff is the most important. I am proud of my growth and development over the years. I am happy to be able to wake up naturally -- when my eyes open and I'm done sleeping. I am very thrilled and blessed to be able to share these philosophies, principles, tools, and strategies with dream oriented people around the globe. These are just some of the countless goals I've achieved throughout my Network Marketing career.

6. What are the reasons for your success in the business?

I talked to lots of people, collected lots of decisions (most of which were "no" decisions), dealt with lots of frustration while learning how to turn it into fascination, made lots of mistakes, and was willing to learn, grow, and change.

7. What has been the worst moment for you in network marketing?

At this point it's difficult to say, because now I realize that all of those so-called "worst" moments were exactly what was necessary for me to go through in order to get to the so-called "best" moments. I realize that my entire destiny would be altered if I had gone through anything different than what I have.

Now with that nice philosophical statement said, I must say that my worst moments in Network Marketing were establishing close relationships with people who gave up on their dreams. I mean, for a multitude of reasons and excuses, they just quit. The Murphy's Committee explanation couldn't save them; Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy couldn't even save them. They simply became what I call C.O.J.s (Casualties of the Jungle), never to return to this awesome industry again. I'm talking about intelligent, powerful, talented, charismatic people here. The MLM cemetery is full of them, and it's one of the most tragic things on the planet.

8. What has been the biggest thrill for you in network marketing?

It would have to be the exact opposite of the above: seeing people come into this business and get excited about life again, seeing the sparkle in their eyes as they ponder the possibilities, and seeing how they start to learn more about themselves and others. This causes their self-esteem and self-confidence to increase. Seeing people who had no hope, no job, no credit, no support from friends and family, no money, no time, no leisure, and basically no life come in and get busy is wonderful.

I personally have friends who have gone from abject poverty to earning over $300,000 per month. And to hear some of them call me to thank me for the training I provided them over the years, to know that I may have played a part in their success however big or small, is a huge thrill for me. I just can't help but see the transformation in them and wonder what would life have been like for them without Network Marketing.

9. You have produced a number of tape albums on network marketing and a lot of people have picked up on the colors you use for determining people's personalities. Why is using these colors so popular?

My tape set, The Magic of Colors, is so popular because people are realizing that in Network Marketing your product is really not your product. In other words, the real product is not the stuff that your company has you offering to the public (even though it's good stuff), but the real product is people.

I first started learning about the four main personalities in 1988, but I didn't start to apply that information until 1991. At that time, I met a 21-year old lady who was making over $40,000 per month in her Network Marketing business. I'll never forget it when she told me, "Your product is not your product; your real product is people. Learn more about people than your so-called product and you will get rich!"

This lady had an abusive background, she had dyslexia (which is a reading disorder), and she was homeless when she was 19 years old. Two years later, at the age of 21, she was making over $40,000 per month, and she was saying that your real product is people. She said her understanding of people was the reason why she was making that type of money.

Well, I paid attention to that and started to learn and apply what I knew about the four main personality styles. This young lady personally taught it to me using colors (yellow, blue, green, and red) to explain it. My friend Jeff Combs use animals to explain it, some people use food seasoning, others use the elements of earth, wind, fire, and water to explain it, and then there are some who use names that I can't even pronounce.

I use colors because it's easy to understand and explain, and people catch on to it because it makes sense and it works. Anyone can hear free samples of this program via real audio by going to our website at www.clubrhino.net and clicking on products, and then audios. My income tripled in 90 days when I started to apply this information, and the testimonials that I've received from others are mind-boggling.

10. How did you come to collaborate with Johnny Keller on your successful album 10 Lethal Weapons For Building Your MLM Empire?

In 1996, I became the International Training Director for a multi-million dollar U.S. based Network Marketing Company. Johnny Keller was one of the distributors in this company. He was already making about $10,000-$12,000 per month and had several thousand people in his organization when I met him.

During the next few years, I conducted over 100 live trainings and had written the training manuals and produced some training tapes for the company. By 1999, Johnny's income had increased to well over $50,000 per month, and his organization was growing by over 3,000 new distributors per month. After one of the trainings Johnny invited me out to dinner with him. During dinner he said something similar to the following: "Jerry, you have been instrumental over the years in training my organization and I'm very grateful. I also think it's time for me to give back to the industry, so I would like to do a tape training program that teaches people the secrets to my success. Since you were such a big part of it all, I would love to do the tape set with you."

I was flattered and honored because I knew that Johnny was a great leader who had a lot to offer to the industry. His wife, Karen, actually is the one who came up with the title. She thought it would be fun to do the "Lethal Weapon" theme to feed off of Glover/Gibson. A year later, The 10 Lethal Weapons For Building Your MLM Empire was born and was instantly a smashing success. In it, we cover the weapon of awareness, tools, optimal health, the 120-day action plan, edification, story telling, spirituality, persistence, and more.

11. What do distributors learn most from your seminars and your albums?
