Networking As A Way of Being

Networking As A Way of Being

Jerry Clark

I just got off the phone with a Coaching Client of mine (Yes, I've started to take on a small group of Personal Coaching Clients... E-Mail me via the contact us page on this site if you would like to be considered as a Client and if you want to know more)...

As we were talking, he was sharing with me how he hadn't had much time to build his Network Marketing Business because of all of the Distractions that have been taking place in his life...  He went on to list all of the distractions over the past couple of weeks...

He had to take a 5 hour drive with his Wife to another City, he had to take one of his Sister's to an important appointment, he had to visit his Mother at the hospital, he had to take his Daughter to a gathering where 50 other Parent/Student combinations were, and so on and so on...

There just wasn't enough time left over to build his Network Marketing Business...

Wow... That's when it all of a sudden came to me...  This guy sees his Network Marketing Business as Separate from everything else...

If I wasn't on the phone with this guy having this coaching session, I probably would have never realized one of the main reasons a lot of people fail in this industry...

They See their Business as being Separate from Everything Else...  They see it as something they can only do during a certain set period of time...

I realized that the reason the Network Marketing Giants Succeed is because they saw their Business as an Extension of their everyday Way of Life...

In other words, everywhere they went -- regardless of what was going on -- they used as an opportunity to meet and connect with people...  Even if the connection didn't lead to them becoming a customer or distributor, they would still connect with people during their normal course of the day...  They may have simply meet someone who would become a tennis buddy or a walking partner or even someone that they just said Hi to and would never speak to again...

The point is, you want to get to the point to where this Business of Networking becomes a part of your daily expression of who you are...  You Network because you are a Networker...  Networkers Network... That's what they do because that's who they are...  Once Networking becomes a part of your identity (so to speak) it will be a lot easier for you to talk to people and some of them will become customers and distributors...

Here's a way for you to consider immediately operating from:

When you're out and about doing your daily activities in life, (it could be at a Grocery Store, Dry Cleaner, Service Station, Book Store, Restaurant, Post Office, etc.) make it a point to say a few additional words to the Cashier, Customers, etc...

For example, if you are speaking to a Cashier, you could ask them how long they've been working there...  What were they doing before they started working there...  What's the best part about their job...  What's the most challenging part about their job...  Are the hours good...  Do they have a family...  What types of activities are their children engaged in...  What's the last Vacation they've been on...  How was it... What's the next Vacation they would like to take...  What would their ideal job look like...  Yadda, Yadda, Yadda... I think you get the point...

(Of course I'm NOT suggesting that you ask all of these questions during your first Visit -- or that you ask any of them at all...  You can make up your own questions... Whatever is natural... The point is simply to get used to talking to people without having to be attached with them buying your products or getting started in your opportunity)...

Remember, this is not even about bringing up that you have an opportunity -- it's about you becoming more natural with talking with people and being aware that people are all around you just waiting for you to say something to them...

The point is to Not See this Business as something Separate from everything else you do -- see it all as an Integrated Part of your Being and You will certainly have a much better shot at Winning Big in Your Enterprise...

The Key is to treat Networking as a Way of Being...

Until Next Time,

Go, Go, Go!!!
